Before your braces are officially put, a few procedures are carried out during your first sessions. As the process of wearing braces requires several sessions with your orthodontist, patience is a must. You may be wondering how many visits there are before receiving braces.
To acquire braces, you may need to make one or more visits with the orthodontist. The kind of case, dental health, and treatment strategy all affect how many visits are necessary. You may need to make many visits if you need to have a spacer or a tooth extracted before getting braces.
Before obtaining braces, you should visit the orthodontist’s office at least once for a consultation and any pre-treatments.
Your free examination to evaluate your objectives and choose the best course of action will be given to you during your first appointment at Tringas Orthodontics, where you will also be introduced to our office and staff so that you are more comfortable on your next visit. To see both the above and below-the-surface modifications required to align your bite and improve your smile, we take photos and an x-ray.
Our experts do a complete examination to evaluate your bite, jaw function, tooth size, shape, dental & soft tissue health, and evaluate the aesthetics of your smile. We may then discuss treatment progression and address any concerns about insurance and cost at that time.
When they first see us, many of our patients are not prepared to begin orthodontic treatment. To begin treatment, we may need to wait for permanent teeth to emerge. Patients who use Invisalign (invisible braces) to straighten their teeth get their aligner trays on their second appointment since the mouthpieces are produced specifically for each patient’s unique bite and treatment strategy using 3-D mouth scans. With Invisalign, patients of all ages may get orthodontic treatment.
